G8 Robotic Fish Posted: 22 Mar 2009 02:11 PM PDT Researchers at the University of Essex in England are building a shoal of robotic fish to sniff out pollutants in and on the waters of the European seas. The boffins plan to build a fleet of robocod at the cost of around $30,000 each to check chemical and oil levels in water off the coast of Northern Spain, specifically the town of Gijón in Asturias.
